Good day friends- Hope that everyone is enjoying the fall. I can't believe its the beginning of Fall and I had to turn the heat on! If its getting this chilly now I really do not want to see winter! I barley made it through last week with all the rain! Not my favorite thing that is for sure. I am glad that the plants are all getting a good soaking before it gets cold. I hope you are all getting out your winter items and putting away those summer things. Don't want old mother nature to pull a quick on on you!
Sherrine called and wanted to let the area know that they are sorry but there will not be a harvest supper this fall at the Namekagon Congregational Church in Earl. They are unable to get it together as they are an older congregation and their church numbers are down. They would all like to thank you for your support in the past!

Strange request but if there are any hunters or trappers out there that do not want their hides, bear fat, feathers, etc please let them know I would be interested. I use various things in soaps, lotions and beaded items. Also anyone have any porcupine quills. I appreciate any help!
Does anyone out there have sewing/quilting items that they are no longer using? Reason I ask is that we have been holding sewing classes at the college and there are always people that do not have a machine. If you would like to donate anything like this just let me know and I can figure a time to pick it up. I know I am a sewing machine collector- I have an old singer (doesn't work), my Grandma Andre's machine, and the machine my friend Anita gave me- this is an oldie but goodie and what I sew on! Anita gave me this machine when I decided to get back into quilting- she also shared a rotary cutter and mat with me! She is awesome!
Wow can you believe it is already time to celebrate those October birthdays! I love October and all the fun fall things to do. It seems we might have experienced all the leaves turning! Happy birthday to my step dad Robert, my sister, my mother, my cousin Michelle. Happy birthday to all you October folks- have a beautiful day and remember we love you! Hugs!
