Hello there friends- I can not believe that it is already August. Wow! It will be time to get back to school soon. Are we ready for that yet? I would have to say a BIG NO!! I would like to say a big Congratulations to my niece Felicia Davis who is having her graduation party this coming weekend!I still find it so hard to believe that she is old enough to be graduating! Where has the time gone? I am proud of you Sqeek! I know you will rock in whatever vocation you decide to go into! Remember we are here to help you out anyway we can! Namekagon Congregational church would like to invite the whole famly to come to Vacation Bible School! The adventure starts with Noah's Ark on August 11 from 6:30-8:00 pm, August 18th from 6:30-8:00pm Joe and the Giant Musky finishing up with How Much God Loves You on August 25 from 6:30-8:00pm.We would like to welcome Pastor William Handy from Ashland to our little corner of the world. Pure Water Days Quilt Show is August 10 from 9:00 am-4:00pm and August 11 from 10:00am -4:00pm. Its held at the Chippewa Falls Senior Center 1000 E Grand Avenue, Chippewa Falls, WI. Admission 1 day for $3.00 or 2 day pass for $4.00. New local Cooperative Artist Gallery, Art Market 63 has opened at 42790 Hwy 63 South. It’s just 1 mile south of Cable on Highway 63 in the bright red building with plenty of parking. Hours are: Thursday through Monday from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday noon to 4 pm. Art Market 63 is cooperatively run by local artists who are members of the Cable Hayward Area Arts Council (CHARAC). The members display and staff the gallery on a rotating schedule. The cooperative provides CHARAC artists a place to show, sell and demonstrate their work. Media includes photography, watercolor, other media paintings, jewelry, handcrafted knives, leather goods, fiber art, vintage handcrafted handbags, wood carving, garden art, fused and stained glass, and more! Everything has been created by local Northwood’s artists! Planned Events: Second Annual CHARAC Art Crawl Friday through Sunday August 9, 10 and 11, 2013 Plan to visit individual local artist’s studios (40) from Springbrook, Stone Lake through Hayward and up to Cable and Drummond.
