Spooner Advocate Column 2-14-13

Wow did we all have fun over this last weekend? We did get snow, just not what they predicting that we would get. After working 48 hours over the weekend I was glad we did not get as much as they said we were going to get. It sure did look pretty on all the pine trees!

I am going to ask a question here that has come up more than once lately. Why is there such a difference in how the snow is removed around the area? I am not picking on anyone, just wondering if one county has a bigger budget, more equipment? I appreciate all the hard work that folks due to make driving safe for all of us.

  1. Hey, busy woman! In your next column, you could mention the Traditional Skills Day coming up on March 2nd in Prairie Farm. There is lots of information at the Hay River Transition Initiative site (www.hayriverti.org) I am betting folks would be really interested! :-)
